Resources for Employees

The availability of good paying jobs is at an all time high. More companies than ever need skilled, motivated, and hard-working employees. The jobs of the future require a commitment to learning and continuing to grow in your skill development from now on. The reward for that commitment is great pay, good working conditions, and knowing you are helping the community by helping to attract good, high-paying companies.

Resources For EmployeesSo where do you start? By assessing yourself against the requirements for jobs that are in most demand, you can start to plan a path for your career. The Northwest Louisiana Worker Survey will help you see where your skills are, and will help employers in the region by showing them who you are, where you are, and what skills you possess.

You can interact directly with companies in the region, ask questions, post your resume’, and assess your skills directly through selected companies who have aptitude testing, by using the “Access Employers” chat box below.

In addition, you can see what training and education is available from all institutions of higher learning in Northwest Louisiana by going to the Consortium for Education, Research, and Technology (CERT) website, which is linked to every higher education institution in the northern part of Louisiana. You can also search for specific courses and instructors through Access Louisiana, a comprehensive database of specialized courses in technology and science. Finally, you can talk directly with representatives of higher education through the “Education Connection” on the resources for education page.
