Resources for Education

Resources For EducationNorthwest Louisiana is lucky to have a wide variety of great educational institutions, both public and private. The vast majority of primary/secondary schools, post-secondary training/technical schools, community colleges, and universities want to be responsive to the needs of both companies and employees.

However, to provide what is needed in the marketplace, they must:

  1. Be armed with information on what is needed and quantative evidence of demand, and most importantly.
  2. Have the support of industry and employees to make needed changes in their offerings--they need partners to help them effect change in the systems in which they must operate.

Brainsmatter.org should be the mechanism through which those partnerships are formed.

  • By clicking here you can reach the Consortium For Education, Research, and Technology which is an intermediary for post-secondary institutions in the region and access their current training and education programs.
  • By clicking here you can reach the Alliance for Education, which works with primary and secondary schools to develop initiatives that are responsive to current and future needs.

Both of these organizations serve as intermediaries between people, businesses, and educational resources to better meet the needs of both.

If you would like to chat with these organizations and get information to their members, please use the chat room below. If you represent the institutions at any level and would like to communicate with business and employees, please use the “education connection” chat box below. Communication is the key to success, and open discussion can provide the ideas and innovations needed for the region to succeed.
